Project Brief

The |trendy.concept.café| assignment is a direct follow up of the Food in Box Project. Having created my own brands of Malaysian F&B, i used the knowledge acquired to translate my design into a bigger scale - an actual shop lot. This final assignment seeks to encourage myself to make my design stand out against the uniformity of existing cafés.  
 
Prior to this project, i joint a site visit in the center of Georgetown, Penang, intended for myself to experience a renovated space from an old building. I analyzed, understand, and eventually renovate the interior of an existing Penang old shop house into my own vision of a trendy concept café, while maintaining the traditional beauty seen from the shop house’s façade. 
 
For this project, i aim to have a unique customer experience provided by certain cafés, which ensure that customers are not only happy and satisfied, but eventually become a returning clientele.
